Finish Well

Posted on 2024-05-112024-11-01 by YADA

There are 1,000 hearts in the artwork -they represent King Solomon’s 700 wives and 300 concubines (1 Kings 11). When Solomon became King, God gave him great wisdom, insight and tasked him to build God’s Temple. However, as he grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods and he did evil in the eyes of the Lord. Solomon started well but finished badly – let us not follow his example. May we stay alert and watch out for anything that may cause our hearts to wander.

How does the biblical account of King Solomon’s life, as reflected in the “Finish Well” post by YADA, serve as a cautionary tale for individuals striving to maintain their faith and integrity?

Christians should keep their faith to the very end – King Solomon was not a good example.
