Exodus 16 describes how God poured dew from heaven which turned into manna and it became food for the Israelites for 40 years. The interesting thing is that God supplied fresh dew each morning and gave instructions to the Israelites not to keep the manna – if not, it would be full of maggots.
In the Lord’s prayer found in Mathew 6, verse 11 says “Give us this day our daily bread.” Indeed God desires to give us fresh manna each day for “whoever comes to Jesus will never go hungry; whoever believes in Him will never be thirsty” John 6:33-35.
God is waiting to give us life-living spiritual food everyday and it’s up to us to seek for it. Let us nourish ourselves with fresh manna each day – whether it’s by reading the Bible, praying, praising or just hanging out with God. Don’t go for stale food – eat fresh!
